ABOUT US
LIVE2540 is a faith-based nonprofit organization helping end malnutrition and food insecurity in underdeveloped countries.
Since 2008 we have had boots on the ground in the undeveloped country of Liberia. Today, we continue to press forward, providing emergency relief in four other countries. We understand global poverty is a massive undertaking, but we believe as God calls us, He will also provide. None of this would be possible without the collaborative effort of compassionate individuals on mission together.
It all began with 67 children.
LIVE2540, previously known as Orphan Aid Liberia was founded in 2008 when Daryl Roberts of Cartersville, Georgia, went to Liberia on a mission trip. There, his life changed forever when he met 67 children living in an orphanage in dire need.
The work that began with these 67 children would grow into millions of meals for so many, as well as education, medication, discipleship and mission partners around the world. Since 2008, LIVE2540 has expanded to provide food, medication, education and discipleship to children in five different countries worldwide.
Daryl Roberts first visited Liberia in 2008 on a short-term mission trip, and that is where he met 67 children who would change his life forever. They were hungry and sick, sleeping on wooden pallets exposed to the elements. He knew that God had called him to these children and he could not just turn his back and come home.
Before he left Liberia he called his wife, Chrissy, back in Georgia and she immediately began raising support. This was the first of 36 trips Daryl has taken to Liberia since on this beautiful, unexpected journey. He founded Orphan Aid Liberia - now LIVE2540 - in 2008 to help clothe and feed those 67 children, many of whom are now in college.
In the past 13 years, the organization has expanded to several countries supporting the work of numerous missionaries, providing millions of meals, education, and needed medicine and malnutrition supplements for thousands of kiddos. Daryl loves to see people, adults and children, "get it", as he has seen the impact over and over again. When people come alongside the work of LIVE2540, suffering is alleviated, hope is restored, and God is glorified.

James is an electrician by day here in the states and enjoys the opportunity to use his skillset to help other across the world in places like Liberia. He was on one of the first team trips early on with then Orphan Aid Liberia and helped install some much needed solar panels at our orphanage in Gbarnga. He has since been back to Liberia two other times and to the Philippines once to help on projects and love on our kids and people. He says his trips to these countries really make him appreciate and not take for granted all God has given us here in the USA. James has served on our board since 2020 and looks forward to opportunities to serve again in the countries we serve. James also serves with other organizations here in the states where his other passion, being outdoors, is utilized with kids in events such as fishing and hunting and sharing the best news in the world, Jesus Christ.

Sherry and her husband Tonny met Daryl & Chrissy Roberts and became good friends through their shared experiences of adopting internationally. Sherry has been involved from the beginning of LIVE2540. She has packed supplies in basements, folded LOTS of t-shirts, and been involved in eye clinics on the ground in Liberia. She has traveled multiple times to Liberia, including traveling with her family.
Sherry loves being part of something big that God has orchestrated in Liberia through Daryl and Chrissy. She considers it a privilege and honor to serve on the Board of Directors of LIVE2540. Sherry plans to be a vital part of the organization as long as God allows.

The summer after Haley’s freshman year of college (2011) she began traveling with LIVE2540 to Liberia. During her trip, she met many children whose faces stuck with her long after the plane touched back down in the States. She met a little girl in particular, Becky, who was severely malnourished. The following summer Haley returned back to Liberia for a 6-week-trip and found Becky to be a healthy toddler with a personality as big as Africa. After seeing the radical impact of LIVE2540 on children and families, Haley knew she wanted to be a part of their mission for the long haul.

The Collective Story
The Collective is a passionate and like-hearted group of all ages, taking action hand in hand, impacting lives around the globe, and The Collective Story is a compilation of stories from lives changed through this effort: Mamas carrying their sick children for miles on their backs through the Liberian bush to the doors of ELWA Hospital, warm meals and the power they have to change a life, the cure for malnutrition and why we believe this collective group of passionate people will bring it to the entire country of Liberia, and so much more.
